BVR adds Kalich, Tillman to 2025 staff

BVR has added two new coaches for the Summer 2025 season.
Kasey Kalich, a native of Victoria, TX, returns to BVR after coaching for the Renegades during the Summer of 2020 and playing for BVR from 2014-2016.   Kasey was a member of three National Championship teams for BVR, winning the B.E.S.T. Baseball Underclassmen National Championship in 2014 and IBC National Titles in 2015 and 2016.
Following High School, he spent one season at Blinn College before transferring to Texas A&M where he excelled as a dominant closer for the Aggies.  In 2019, he was a semifinalist for the NCAA Stopper of the Year award and posted a stellar 3.18 ERA with 51 strikeouts over 34 innings.  Following the 2019 season, he was chosen as the recipient of Texas A&M's Wally Moon Award presented annually to the most improved player.
Drafted in the 4th round of the 2019 MLB draft by the Atlanta Braves, Kalich showcased his talent across several minor league levels, reaching AAA. Over his professional career, he accumulated 16 saves, maintained a solid 3.35 ERA and recorded 132 strikeouts in 118.3 innings.
As a pitching coach, Kasey helps pitchers improve mechanics, build arm strength and develop confidence to excel on the mound.

  RENEGADE BASEBALL

The Brazos Valley Renegades Baseball Organization was started in 1994 by current program director Duane Faltysek with the purpose of providing local HS players the opportunity to compete at a high level while being promoted to college's. Today we are one of the longest running organizations in the State of Texas,  fielding teams at the 12u-Collegiate levels. In the last 10 years alone we have had 224 players move on to play college baseball, our organization has won 11 National Championships at the 16u-18u levels.
If you are a hardworking , serious baseball player then the BVR organization will be a great fit for you. We look for unselfish, hardworking players that are able to look at the long term picture and see what results can happen for you if you're willing to put in the work.
We have come a long way since 1994 but our vision and values that have proven to work for so many over the last 30 years remain the same. Sportsmanship. Dedication. Integrity. Commitment. Toughness
